Los Molinos is a small town north west of Madrid, around 30 miles from the city. It can be easily reached by car, train or bus. It’s located on the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama, 3,300 feet above sea level. It leads a double life, as a traditional playground for holidaying Madrileños and as a functioning rural town, which has somehow managed to preserve its old way of life.

I discovered Los Molinos in 2016. I now go whenever I can. And I take pictures. This website contains my pictures of Los Molinos and the surrounding area, with a little bit of background text. To purchase these or other pictures of mine go here. If you have something kind to say leave a comment below.

I'm a London-based philosopher, born and raised in Spain. I feel I've spent a life-time escaping from this landscape, and I'm now trying to understand why.
